This research intends to study the cementing potential of pulverized oyster shell, rich in calcium, when mixed with fly ash and soil. Cylindrical compacted soil and cubic lime specimens with different proportions of the shells and fly ash are made to study the strength variance. Soil, which is classified as CL in the USCS system, commercialized pulverized oyster shell, F-type fly ash, and lime ...

Some alternative materials which have been studied for use as partial replacement for sand include fly ash, slag limestone, silica stone, furnace bottom ash and recycled fine aggregate,, . Among the many materials investigated, quarry rock dust (QD) appears to be the most suitable because it is available in large quantities in most parts of ...

The project describes the feasibility of using marble dust with partial replacement of cement. Total 42 cubes were casted by using marble dust with partial replacement of cement in various percentage of (5%, 10%, 15%, 20%, 25%, and 30%) and compressive strength test were done after 7 days and 28 days. 1.1 Main Ingredients

The present paper deals with partial replacement of cement with quarry dust and metakaolin which are having silica used as admixture for making concrete. First quarry dust is made partial replacement of cement and found that 25% of partial replacement is beneficial to concrete without loss of standard strength of cement.

EXPERIMENTAL STUDY ON STRENGTH OF CONCRETE BY PARTIALLY REPLACING OF CEMENT WITH HYPO SLUDGE A PROJECT REPORT

It is noticed that 5% replacement of cement with marble dust in mild condition and 10% replacement of cement with marble dust in severe conditions, are showing increase in tensile strength. (7)CONCLUSIONS: Due to marble dust, it proved to be very effective in assuring very good cohesiveness of mortar and concrete.

Influence of Marble Dust as Partial Replacement of Cement in Concrete N. Gurumoorthy Assistant Professor in Civil Engineering, PSNA College of Engineering and Technology, Dindigul, Tamilnadu. Abstract--The main objective of this research is to investigate the performance of concretes contained marble dust as a cement replacement, mix was ...

The use of the replacement materials offer cost reduction, energy savings, arguably superior products, and fewer hazards in the environment. In this project our main objective is to study the influence of partial replacement of cement with marble powder, and to compare it with the compressive and tensile strength of ordinary M20 concrete.

The curve shown in Fig. 1 represents the average of four tests. According to Fig. 1, the absorption percentage of concrete decreased for dust contents from 0 to 15%, and then it started to increase for 20,25, and 30% of dust contents. Crushed stone dust acts as a filler in the concrete and contributes to reduce the absorption of concrete.

In this thesis OPC-43 grade cement isud replaced partially by stone dust & granite powder simultaneously in the proportion of 5%, 10%, 15% & 20% byud weight. Mortar cubes were casted, tested and compared in terms of compressive strength to the standard mortarud mixtures.

Optimization of stone dust and fly ash is also obtained. The results indicated that the incorporation of quarry dust into the self-compacting Concrete mix as partial replacement material to natural sand resulted in higher compressive strength and optimization of sand replacement is 40 %.

Title: Use of Stone Dust & Granite Powder as a Partial Replacement of Cement, Author: ijera editor, Name: Use of Stone Dust & Granite Powder as a Partial Replacement of Cement, Length: 3 pages ...

This thesis involves use glass powder 20% constantly as replacement of cement and to use granite powder 25% constantly as replacement of fine aggregate. The mechanical properties of glass and granite powder replaced concrete properties have been compared with the conventional concrete after the curing period of 7, 14 and 28 days.

This thesis deals with the experimental study on the mechanical strength properties of M20 grade concrete with the partial replacement of fine aggregate by using stone dust and Steel Scrap.

of 30%, 40%, 50% and 60% using Portland Pozzolana Cement. There were in all 5 mixes in each grade of concrete including control mix and four mixes with crusher dust as a partial replacement of natural sand. It was observed that with use of crusher dust at all replacement levels, the workability of concrete was reduced from 1-6%.
